She's Here, She's Here!

More Updates

With the pending arrival of Anna Fair, I have felt the need to photograph Laurie doing all and doing nothing. Just so that I can say she wasn't neglected just because baby #2 came along. So, prepare for many, many fun pictures.

We made it to the fair in the nick of time, it was so rainy all week, I really thought we would miss it this year. Laurie is still not savy enough to realize she could ride the rides, so we just walked around, enjoyed the sites, the fair food, and of course, the petting zoo. Lamas, goats, cows, sheep, and camels, oh my!

We had a really busy day recently, with only time for a short nap. Will went in to get her, but she was bound and determined it was not time to wake up. They snuggled like this for a good hour. Momma was debating in her head how hard it was going to be to put her down for bed time, but I couldn't bear to interrupt. Daddy was in hog heaven.

What I am supposing to be our last opportunity to attend Mommy and Me at the library for a while. Or at least to go with just the two of us. Or even to go consistently. This was a really rainy day, so our small group had a grand time together. Let me add that Laurie only likes this one particular book at the library. It makes animal noises, she looks hard for it each week, and if some other scoundrel grabs it before her, she hovers close and waits for her opportunity to steal it and run. We need to work on sharing.

Already working on her bad taste. Friends shouldn't let friends over-accessorize.

Who knows who is helping who, but with two handymen in the house, all our chores will be finished in no time.

I Will Eat It Here or There, I Will Eat It Anywhere

I eat it on my fish.
I like it on my fries.
I smear it with my cereal.
I dip it with my grapes.
I do like Sauce on everything,
I do like it, Sam I Am.

Rediscovery

UPDATE:

I didn't have to wait long for Laurie to get back in the exersaucer. When I went to get her up from naptime this afternoon, she was pointing and grunting at it. She could hardly wait to give it another go. I love my sweet girl!

With the imminent arrival of Baby Anna Fair, I've been pulling out and cleaning all of Laurie's old baby toys. Here's exersaucer that we loved, loved, loved. I turned around to find her sitting squarely in the middle with her legs all squished underneath her, playing with her old pal, jeep. I ran to get my camera, but the little stinker had climbed back out by the time I returned, I am hoping to cath her at it again soon.

And in other news, we are officially a BOW HEAD!! All my hard work has finally paid off, hours of putting the bow in, only to have her immediately pull it back out. She goes so far as to demand to have it on for bedtime. I feel so affirmed as a Mom!

The Name Game

While Will and I were off relaxing, Aunt Fair and her crew were working hard to help Laurie learn all their names. We were quite impressed. Our favorite is the way she says Unk Pauuuw (Uncle Paul). So preciously funny, though she is already learning to pronounce it better. They really do grow up much to fast.

I put her threw her paces, Laurie was so patient, we barely managed to squeeze in Baby's name before she totally lost interest.
