William Henry Barbour IV

On September 17th, William Henry Barbour, IV was born.  It was quite a long day, but he has been so incredibly worth it.  He is by far our most content baby.  Though that might also be self preservation, if I don't draw attention to myself, my sisters will leave me alone.

Headed to the hospital.  Yes, it looks like there could be a 9 lb baby in there.
9 lb 3 oz & 21 1/4 inches long.
The look of incredulity on Anna Fair's face cracks me up.  I'm not sure she ever really believed we were really going to have a baby.

Our first family photo as a family of 5.  Holy moly, we are now 5!

Henry has had lots of visitors, he's quite the popular fellow.

Nesting

People ask if the 'nesting' bug has hit me yet.  Yeah, no, that is not me.  I clean when I have to, but you won't catch me scouring the baseboards.  And as packed as our home is with stuff, organization is just a cruel, mean joke.  What I can do is sew, and I have had a bug to make things for the girls and a few sweet boy things for our boy.

Sunday School bag and adorable dresses.

Tiny diaper shirt and bottoms.  Do you see the tiny duck?  He'll be the stud of the nursery.  No, I have not finished the bottoms nor have I sewn the buttons.

I love these pants.  They couldn't be louder if they tried.  At some point, I have teal shirts I can applique.

Diaper bag for the boy.  With a very ferocious elephant.
This fabric is adorable in a manly sort of way.  I love a little boy in a John John and apparently I better put boy in one every chance I get.  His father has placed the age limit at 2.  Yes, it's missing buttons on the belt too.
Am I still making plans despite the fact I could have this boy at any moment and haven't finished many another project?  Why, yes I am!  We've got several white onesies and it would be criminal not to sew on these baby rattles wouldn't it?
I just picked up fabric to start on Christmas dresses, using this pattern.  I know, it's not screaming "Christmas!" but most importantly, we can wear it past 1 month a year.  I may have bought dinosaur fabric while I was in the store too.  They love me there.

My baseboards are still dirty, but my kids are well dressed.

Gymanstics

A few shots from the girls' gymnastics class.  I love that they are taking together and enjoying it so much.  Anna Fair asked why I didn't sign her up to take every day?  Probably because it would send us to the poor house.

Princesses and Tea Parties

With the pending arrival of the newest Barbour (in 11 days), I hated to skimp on Anna Fair's birthday and opted to have it a tad early and pray for cooler weather.  It wasn't very cool, but the kids still had a great time at our Princess Tea Party.  Anna Fair was so excited to have a party, but the excitement and seeing so many friends made her so shy and she refused to wear her princess dress.

We decorated placemats to eat our lunch on cupcakes from.  The little girls were loving all the princessey stickers.

After lunch, we decorated our cupcakes with our choice of icing color, sprinkles, M&Ms, gummies, and marshmallows   This was such a hit, every child was very intent on getting their cupcake filled as high as possible with yummy goodness.

Couldn't get her to wear her princess dress, but she had no problem putting on her new leotard from BB and Granddaddy.  Thanks for all the fabulous presents from fabulous friends.

I had planned to serve tea out of our tea sets, but the heat nixed that idea and we just let them play.  Perhaps we should have.  These two quietly drank cup after cup of tea for 30 minutes at least.
Happy early birthday, Baby Girl!
