End of the Year

With only 2 days left of school, we've been enjoying some really sweet end of the year programs from our funny girls.  First up, Laurie...

The four year old class at Covenant performed, Prayers for Jesus, PJ Party, so they dressed in their PJs for a PJ themed party.  It was a fun alternative to getting all dudded up and they were so cute, Laurie really mulled over which pajamas were perfect for the occasion.

Laurie and one of our favorite friends, Natalie, sang the only duet of the day (shocking when you consider the singing voices of her parents).  We were so proud of how well they did, it was a really tough part!  I was worried how Laurie would whisper her verses when we practiced at home, but put a microphone in front of the girl and she belted it out at the top of her lungs!
The kids also played a few songs with bells.  It was so sweet.  I love how seriously they all watched their music teacher for their cues.
Laurie and her teacher, Mrs. Dear.  We love Mrs Dear and get so excited to see her out and about.  Mrs Dear is moving to FPDS next year and we would love to get her for our teacher.
Anna Fair's class hosted a Tea Party for the Twos.  I had high expectations for my precocious baby, just sure she would sing like she does at home.  I should have known her shy tendencies better.  Here she is with her usual devilish smile.
She performed a few hand motions, but sang not one word, only stared straight at me.  Bless her.  Elizabeth and Henry were the heroes of the day.
Mrs. Camp and Mrs. Chance.  We sure will miss them.
Would you like to see some organized chaos?

Laurie's Covenant Ballet Class.  I have loved, loved this group of sweet girls this year and loved visiting with their mammas during class.  Couldn't you just kiss their faces off?

I was afraid I would forget to pick up Laurie's flowers, but I needn't have feared.  She has reminded us repeatedly.  "Am I getting flowers for my recital?  What color flowers am I getting?  Could they be red?  Will it be roses again?"  So modest.

The Happiest Place on Earth

We've spent the last week at Disney World.  And boy did we have a magical time.  The Barnstormer was Laurie's favorite ride till she tried Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.  We rode it 4 times!  Anna Fair wasn't real sure about the rides, but refused to be left out of anything. Both of them did not like the Dinosaur ride, too scary!  The fireworks were amazing every night and all the parades were fun, fun.  Can't wait till we can go back!

Laurie was asked to play the part of Belle's horse, Phillippe, in Tales with Belle.  She did a great "neigh".

We met lots and lots of princesses.  Laurie had a smile on her face from the time we got there till the time we left.
Is Laurie posing with her foot popped?

We never knew which Anna Fair we would get a picture of, some times she was super happy and enjoying herself.

Other times, she was grumpy and out of sorts.  Poor kid, she was really exhausted by the end of the week and begging to go home.

We were so lucky to have BB and Granddaddy come with us.  They were a great help and I don't know how we would have made it without them.

There was even entertainment while waiting in line for a ride.

Aren't we precious in our Minnie Mouse ears?

We came to wake up Laurie from her nap to find her like this one day.  Why?  "Because I was being funny."
Climbing in the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House.  Our children were long gone.

We were amused how timid they both were with the princesses, but give us a giant plush character and we came alive.

We had makeovers at the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique.  Anna Fair cackled from start to finish, but Laurie had a much more serious attitude about hers.  They no longer even look like my children with their slicked back hair and loud eye shadow.

Because BB is a sucker, we picked out new costumes and glass slippers.  Thank you, BB.

The 3D toy story shooting gallery was hysterical.
By far, the highlight of the trip, and Laurie's favorite moment too, was getting to fly in the magic carpet with Jasmine and Aladdin.  Or as Daddy called him, "that guy."  (do all the princes get referred to as that guy?)  Laurie was thrilled to ride with them and then was escorted to their greeting courtyard.  Aladdin even told Laurie she was the best driver he ever flew with.  What a treat!
