Laurie and Anna Fair have been getting to know each other. Laurie was so thrilled to meet her baby sister. Perhaps a little too excited, she can sometimes be overzealous in her affection, but Anna Fair is quick to let her know it's time to back off.
I love the forth photo. Laurie has thoroughly enjoyed playing with all her old baby seats. I think sibling rivalry has already arrived.
Anna Fair cried all through her first bath, and just as a good big sister should, Laurie cried too.
Some days, I think "I have a good husband," some days "a great husband," and then there are the days I think, "we have won the husband lottery jackpot, he is the best in the whole wide world!!" Daddy has really stepped up his game and been so great making sure Laurie doesn't feel neglected, getting up with Anna Fair, helping out with chores around the house... And we won't even talk about how great he was when I was down with the flu when Anna Fair was only 2 weeks old.
Our clothes may not always match. Or even be on right side out. But we sure are having fun.
We didn't let having a newborn put a damper on halloween at our house. Laurie was a bumble bee again this year. She liked her costume a lot more this year than she did last year. Anna Fair went as a flower. Or, Anna Fair wore a hat with a flower on it and I lied and called it a costume.
We played HARD. First, we visited Aunt Alice to show off our costume and our new baby sister. Then played at the street party with the Hollingsworths. Laurie enjoyed her first time in the jumpy land with buddies Grace and Meg. I really wanted an action shot of Laurie, but she spent most of her time flat on her back. Then Laurie "twi twee" at our neighbors before heading home for the evening to enjoy our bounty.
