Christmas Eve, Day, and Day After

We enjoyed dinner on Christmas Eve with the Barbours and Hursts.
Henry reminds me so much of Daddy here.

Pop read the Night Before Christmas for everyone.

Then we came home to open our Christmas pajamas and head to bed.

The middlest Barbour had reached her breaking point and was crying non stop and put herself to bed.  We curtailed our usual reading of Luke 2 and Laurie put out cookies and milk for Santa on her own.  Poor kid, there's only so much excitement one little girl can handle.
 Christmas Morning
 Santa Came!
Both girls were very explicit in what they wanted for Christmas.

Last year, Anna Fair was only interested in her candy and we couldn't get her to open her gifts for her cramming as much sugar in her mouth as possible, this year, she tore through her gifts in no time flat.

I love that Henry's Hunter Dan doll is already on a date with Cinderella.

Christmas Lunch in Yazoo City

Day After Christmas in Natchez

Swimming in a sea of toys.
Abby was so sweet to show Laurie how to work her Rainbow Loom.

This picture may not seem like much, but my little home body does not go exploring.  When Daddy took the girls to hunting camp, Laurie went exploring and Anna Fair wanted to stay in the truck.  But here she and Logan are off on an adventure.  Quite an advancement for Mamma's baby girl.

Deer hunting is serious business.

Merry Christmas!

From our family to yours!

Christmas Lead Up

Nativity scenes arranged by little hands.  Scarcely known fact:  Mary has rad skate boarding skills.  I've seen it.

Trimming the tree.  Confession, we left a sleeping Henry in the car while we dashed into grab the first tree we saw.  It's also the ugliest tree we've ever had.  We're all just lucky we have  a tree.

Opening our 2013 ornaments.  The girls received mickey mouse ornaments from our trip to Disney and Henry some sweet little boy ornaments.

Yeah!  Christmas cookies!  As soon as christmas draws near, we start wondering when we can make our most beloved christmas cookies.  Due to the neediness of the youngest barbour, it was a 2 day affair this year.

Handmade Christmas.  I treasure all the precious ornaments and crafts and pictures my babies bring home during Christmas.  It's been a blessing to look back over the past years and see how their understanding of Jesus and Christmas has grown over the years in their work.

 Christmas Programs:

Covenants Preschool Program
Anna Fair's Christmas ballet recital to Jingle Bell Rock

FPC's children's choir program.  All the children dressed as shepherds.  Her class sang Away in a Manger
 Christmas Activities:

MNSM's Nature made ornaments.  I love the Santa Claus magnolia leaves.
Gingerbread Houses.  It was such a help to do it at  our dear preschool.  None of the mess and endless supply of icing and candy.

 Santa Claus!!!!!!!!!!
(only in Mississippi can you see Santa in sleeveless dresses.)

We love exploring all the fun decorations at the flowood park and then playing on the playground in the dark.
This is from Laurie's class Christmas party.  Santa is reading the class a story and Laurie is snuggled up to her teacher.  What a blessing Mrs. Hutchinson has been this year.
Taking boxes to Operation Christmas Child.  Yes, we're wearing cheerleading costumes.  Don't judge me.
