Our Weekend

A few shots from a fun weekend.

A good time always starts off with a nap wearing shoes and a stolen backpack.

Our sweet friend Audrey Cate is moving in a few weeks. We are so sad, but at least we enjoyed celebrating her birthday! A gymnastics party, what a fun idea!

We talk about fall and leaves changing color a lot lately. So of course we needed to make a hand print tree with all our found leaves.

And she made the pallet on her own too.

Anna Fair Turns Two - Part 4

Does she like her new baby doll? I think so.

What Happened Here?

Laurie and Anna Fair had a big day. With Sitter Jackie all morning and Aunt Fair and the Hurst Urchins all afternoon. What I want to know, when she has two perfectly good beds, who did what to her that she felt inclined to fall asleep like this:

Asleep

Love that this kid was up from 4 to 6, but at 730 she's sound asleep.

Sssh, they are sleeping!

I love the little mother I live with. She takes such good care of her babies. You never know who may be sleeping where in our house.

Rag doll on the bathroom floor with the throw that should be on the couch.

Rubber ducky.

Baby Charlie in the crib. Skein of yarn (aka, kitty) on the stool with a non-slip pad that should be under the window-seat cushion.

Baby Chloe.

Dora, Boots, Princess Aurora, Prince Charming.

All from today! And at this very moment, the little mother is taking the opportunity to nap herself. It's like they always tell you, "nap when they are napping!"

Anywhere, Anytime, Anyplace

Except perhaps in her room, at bedtime, in her bed.

Pallet

Not afraid to make a pallet & pass out precariously perched on it.

Crashing Post Church

I love these two so, so very much. Why is it that church on Sunday makes you so sleepy? Another plus, with all three now down, I have the house all to myself. Surely there is a good rom-com on before Valentines?

Woe out

What yazoo city does to the little people.

Wake up, wake up, WAKE UP!

When this kid doesn't want to wake up, there is no waking her up. Tickling, jiggling, moving her, tv loud, and still passed out. Why don't I sleep like this? I have a feeling bed time will not go well for me.

Where's Laurie?

We've been in Natchez for the last four days visiting Bebe, Grandaddy, and Mini Pearl. Mainly Bebe, Laurie thinks Bebe is the bee's knees. She was less than pleased when we loaded up in the car to head home. Very unpleased when we pulled into the driveway. And downright ugly when we saw Daddy and cried to see Bebe. But at least she must be happy to see her stuff. No toy will be left uncuddled.

Pool Time and a Murder Mystery

When it's this hot outside, what else can you do but sit in your pool? Laurie isn't terribly interested in the pool other than cleaning off her feet and the occasional dip to cool off. I thought it was so sweet that she watered the daylillies we dug up from the Fair home in Louisville.

Yesterday morning, I happened to notice some odd dust on Laurie's foot. I just brushed it off, without a second thought. Later that day, I am vacuuming in our room and see more of this dust in front of my vanity. I look up to see little dusty fingerprints all over my vanity drawers. With a sickening feeling, I open the drawer to find the remains of my powder dumped everywhere. Poor powder, may he rest in peace. Laurie even shut the drawer back to hide the evidence! What I don't understand is when she did it? She was with me all day. And wasn't someone watching her??? Oh...yeah, that's me.

How could someone who sleeps this sweetly do that? I love that Laurie sleeps snuggled up in the corner with all her toys around her. And you never know when you may need to wake up, turn on your mobile and go immediately back to sleep.
