Midnight Mewlings

We had a super busy day last week, MMO, 2 birthday parties and Daddy had a men's conference. So, I thought the kids (and mommy) could use an early bedtime. Apparently Anna Fair disagreed. She sang off and on in her bed for an hour. I finally had to grab the camera and record her from outside her room. The only song I can positively identify is Jingle Bells, the rest is just her usual babbling. Love this little motor mouth.

Happy Birthday to You

Part 2.

Laurie's actual birthday was last Monday. I don't think we've recovered yet from all the fun of her birthday. Our tradition, a breakfast of pancakes. I love a little sleepy eyed girl.

Weeks ago, Laurie professed she wanted a Ladybug Pillow Pet for her birthday. Mommy professed that she didn't need one and proceeded to talk her into various other gifts. Daddy took pity on her and headed to the store the night before to get her just what she wanted.

Laurie, you can wear whatever you like on your day. Yep, so she's wearing a sundress, in January.

Best Friends

Look who's been reunited!!!

We are thrilled to have Bubby back. A personal shout out to my new best friends, Pat and Sherry, from MMO, who called today to say Bubby had been found. It's been 5 days since Bubby first went missing. I was beginning to despair he would be found. I was having such a Velveteen Rabbit moment, picturing poor Bubby on the side of the road, wet, dirty, perhaps run over, unloved and forgotten (yes, I know Bubby is not real). My sweet baby kept wondering, "Where Bubby? He in the car? He at school?" I just put them down for a nap and left Anna Fair giggling with Bubby draped around her face. I am pretty sure I saw Bubby crack a smile too.

Fabulous Fourth Birthday Festivities

We celebrated Laurie's fourth birthday last week with a butterfly birthday party, per her request.

We had play doh. Is it a requirement to ball all the play doh into a ginormous 10 pound ball?

Bag decorating. There are some real artists in this crowd.

Let the scavenger hunt begin! There were butterfly necklaces, stickers, butterfly barrettes, and bug poppers galore.

Some mischievous urchins, if I've ever seen one.

Best Birthday Cake Ever.

Only time they were seated all day.

Pinata. We're still thankful no one was beaned in the noggin with the bat. But I sure do like seeing them scrounge for candy like it was a million dollars. In total, there were 32 kids at our house on Friday, toddlers included. It was so much fun, a whirlwind of precious children, but I may never get my house in order again.

We love Baby Logan. And he WILL give me a birthday hug, even if I have to pound it out of him.

Her turn

Everyone gets their moment in the sun here at Barbour Productions.

Update: What is going on here?

Are the hair bows taking naps? Did they just get out of the bath? Can't we decide which one to wear? I don't get it.

Apparently, they are fish in the ocean.

Showbiz

You turn your back to fold laundry & come back to your den set up for a 'show'.  Her audience is entranced.

What Did You Say?

With Laurie's birthday lurking right around the corner, we've been talking of little else. I was singing the birthday song by the beetles,
You say it's your birthday(nah nah nah nah nah nah)
It's my birthday too, yeah(nah nah nah nah nah nah)...

Laurie, greatly upset, "Momma! You can't say nahny nahny boo boo!"
A week later we're still discussing how it's ok to sing it as a beat.

While working in the yard the other day, I accidentally flung a little dirt at Anna Fair. (which might not have happened if she weren't shadowing from 2 inches away) With glee, she told me, "You need to sit in bafroom, you need new a-tude. "

Ride it, Ride it

Laurie got a new bike for Christmas and we've been cruising up and down our block a lot. She's doing really well.

Anna Fair was not so pleased to be left out. "Where my bike?" So we stole one from the neighbor's garage, cause that's the kind of people we are. Thanks, Dales!

Hysterical

Some people think it's hysterical to get a bubble bath with their cousin.

And despite what some people say, I did NOT give him that goose egg on his noggin.
