Weekend Getaway

After all the fun busy-ness of VBS, we took a 2 hour nap, then packed up to wind down at Lake St John.  I love it there and all the memories it brings back of my summers as a kid.  What joy to see my kids making their own fun lake memories. 

We captured lots of minnows and water bugs.  It provided hours of entertainment to watch them up close and personal.

 

The girls could ride in Big Bertha from sun up to sunset.  Even sweeter that they are old enough to ride by themselves.  I can't wait till they even older so we can show them how to really ride Big Bertha.  ;)  At one point, Anna Fair asked me to ride with her, then proceeded to curl up and try to take a nap on me.  Odd, Momma wasn't overly interested in napping on Big Bertha.
