Zoo, Zoo, Zoo!

Laurie loves the zoo, and what better way to enjoy the zoo than with her bestest friends. What a great day to zoo it, rain threatened all morning (we just barely escaped it), so there was a small crowd. We visited all our favorite animals, giraffe, peacock, rhino, and here she is meowing at the leopard. He seemed uninterested. And the new orangutan exhibit is open!

Laurie pointed to the eyes of the giant alligator. Teaching her to be friendly with giant alligators may not be my best Mommy Moment.

We chatted it up with Dalton while the big girls ran around crazy.

And the highlight of the trip!!! We saw the baby chimp up close! He's never been out when we've visited before, so this was a real treat. He didn't disappoint, he was so cute and entertaining. I did notice Laurie was only interested in the turtles and fish in the moat around the exhibit. We can't wait to go back with Dadda and show him all the new things we saw!
